Professional Development Travel Grant Program

The Professional Development Travel Grant Program is funded by the Office of the Provost through the Faculty Excellence Initiative Committee (FEIC).

Eligibility

  • All tenured, tenure-line, non tenure-track, and staff members with formal teaching responsibilities at Illinois State University are eligible to apply.
  • Travel may be to professional conferences, workshops/institutes, other institutions, etc.
  • A primary purpose of the travel must be to enhance your professional development with regard to teaching, scholarship/research, and/or service (e.g., attend an institute to learn new statistical skills, attend a professional grant writing workshop, attend a teaching conference, travel to work on disciplinary or teaching research with a colleague who can assist you with new expertise).
  • All proposals must clearly articulate a professional development component and one or more concrete outcomes (e.g., learn a new research methodology or pedagogical technique and share with colleagues).
