Scheduling Reminders:
Summer 2010 (and 2011 base course titles) are due no later than September 8, 2009, 4:30 p.m.
Plan carefully, review the 2010 base schedules submitted last August to ensure they are included in the schedule and adhere to the standard session dates if at all possible.
Deans and Chairs/Directors should work with Dr. Sally Parry, Director of General Education, to schedule General Education Program and IAI courses based on student needs. General Education and IAI courses should be submitted on individual department's schedules, regardless of funding source.
The Honors Program has been provided funding. Dr. Kim Pereira, Director of Honors will contact each Dean to talk about proposals to support summer opportunities for honors students. These courses should be included on department/school schedules and designated as Honors courses.
Only 3-week/ 5-days/wk courses are eligible to begin on May 10, 2010 (May Interim Session start date)
Students on Academic Probation are not eligible to register for a May Interim Session course.
Students are strongly encouraged not to enroll in more than one course while they are enrolled in a May Interim course (or to enroll in a May Interim course and a course that begins on Monday, May 17).
Be cautious of offering courses during May Interim Session that have preqreuisites. Spring grades are not reported unitl several days into the May Interim Session and may affect the students ability to receive a refund if they need to withdraw from the course. Departments/Schools would be responsible for notifying students who did not (after spring grades are reported) meet the May Interim course prereqs.
